Young people are often seen as the leaders of changes in the country. With knowledge, skills, creativity and enthusiasm, they are believed to contribute greatly to the growth... of a nation, and therefore, deserve to be most invested; however, others claim that the fate of nation depends on a variety of factors and the young are part of the entire picture of thriving only. My essay will shed light on how to allocate the investment of country for the effective resources to guarantee the long-term development.

It is first claimed that in some countries where the young population dominates, for example, America, Vietnam and others, the earmarking of a high amount of budget for their education and career development schemes makes sense. It is undeniable that America, after a short time of growth, has stuck to the plan of attracting the high-skilled labor, especially, the younger group from all walks of life, bestowing upon them the high salaries and other privileges, by dint of which it has achieved staggering accomplishments in fields of technology, economics and entertainment. Nevertheless, not all nations are peopled with a majority of the young people. Facts have shown that in such developed nations, particularly, North Eastern ones where the number of the young is relatively modest, and people tend to have a lower birth-rate, it is essential for governments here to distribute their budget significantly for the maintenance of good health care system and welfare for the old, along with their constant improvement in education systems to raise awareness of the young, including the free tertiary education.

Youngsters are, second, cited to be the main work force which adds great value to the country’s work force. It is true that equipped with updated technology, being creative and enthusiastic, they can find it easy to give birth to new ideas to heighten productivity of organizations. That explains why they are normally granted more bonuses, for instance, high salaries and training programs from places where they work while governments are spending a huge amount of budget for their education to make sure that no sooner do they graduate from university than they embark on working effectively. A group of people that I think government should greatly take into account is female who prove their outstanding and equal value in the modern work places, but still undergo unwanted discrimination. Another suggestion to ensure the effectiveness of their investment is that the close supervision of their outcome of their policy and the understanding of their country’s current context to figure out which group, at a certain stage, will receive the most significant investment.

According to social studies, violence among children is escalating day by day, which keeps the entire nation on alert, especially their parents. Some people cite the best solution to this thorny issue is to eliminate all violence-related programs on telev...ision while others perceive it as a drastic answer.

On one hand, it is undeniable that with a view to attracting an increasing number of viewers each year, programmers try to modify their movies, shows and documents dotted with sensational scenes, particularly violence one. Studies have shown that some kids who used guns and threatened others at school confessed that they just imitated naively their heroic actions on television. In this case, television programs are partly to blame. Nevertheless, would it be totally equitable when the reasons are traced to other sources, say, internet, newspaper and others, apart from television? Internet is a typical example of having such viral influence which affects adversely kids’ behavior due to belligerent online games while newspapers and picture books are fraught with images with guns, whips and other means, even in the hands of sexy teenagers.

In addition, the lack of parental caring, environment and moral education are culprits of spiral violence among children. Born and growing up in families where their parents often resort to barbaric actions in teaching children, the latter are vulnerable to see this behavior as acceptable whereas educators, instead of endeavoring to engender in children moral codes, are too busy with academic teaching and cast this mission on the parents who are unfortunately in the circle of rat race. Children are not spared the social effects when they are living in the society in which the unemployment rate is on the rise, leading to a corresponding climb in crime rate. In a word, without close supervision of parents and educators and a crime-free ambience in places children live, it is undeniable that they will be easily injected with any flow of thinking and action, especially from uncut sources on the internet, television and through unhealthy real life experience.

Other effective remedies to this dilemma are that programs on television should be censored before being publicly shown along with the limitation of age in watching any violence-related movies. More importantly, it is time for government to set limit on themselves for the fact that they often let advertisers and producers promote sensational programs for the sake of profit, rather than educational one. It would be ironic to expect kids to be exempt from violence when each day, their eyes are awake with aggressive actions from celebrities on television’s advertisement.

The task of educating children to become useful people is far from easy, especially when parents and educators desire for a comprehensive education for them. Some people believe that to be specialized in each educational task, school should be exclusively responsible for arming children with academic knowledg...e to be ready for job market while others hold onto the idea that moral teaching is also the mission of school. Each idea has its own validity

It is first argued that academic teaching is the main duty of schools while teaching children to behave well is the job of parents. It is by dint of dividing clear responsibilities for both parents and schools that teachers feel less burdened to focus on their specialized task that is to equip children with necessary knowledge to become confident in dealing with challenges in work places. Parents, in the meantime, who stay by their children’s side, from the childhood to adulthood, can understand them more than ever. For that reason, their guidance to follow social moral codes to make sure their kids get along with others is sensible. Others, however, point out the fact that so busy with parents are nowadays with their own career pursuit that some of them make light of inculcating proper codes of behavior in their children whereas some of them are factually not yet good examples for their kids to learn. How could parents who are drunkards or gamblers be fully qualified for teaching their children to behave ethically? Nowhere can kids find their orientation in their thought and behavior more effectively in their teachers’ advice and instructions at school.

Another reason, nevertheless, in support of the former idea is that moral teaching is the subject children should be imbued through their practical experience in the later life. What their teachers impart about morality at school is sometimes theoretical and proves burdensome for them who are already exhausted in the completion of homework at school. Yet, no sooner do kids graduate from their schools than they begin to undergo extreme depression when faced that fact that they can hardly find themselves at ease with other people from all walks of life despite their wealth of knowledge. The truth is to achieve the common goal, there needs more than academic knowledge itself, but rather teamwork, leadership and others which they were unfortunately deprived if this policy ran into reality. At the same time, to lessen the curriculum overload in all these subjects, teachers can flexibly mix moral and academic teaching. For instance, through the lessons on literature, moral behavior can be highlighted, and by that way, kids can deeply remember and naturally absorb moral behavior.

All in all, each view has its own reason, and my belief is that the harmonious combination of these subjects might be the best choice.

Are parents the best teachers?

Obviously, the first teachers we have in our lives in most cases are our parents. They teach us to walk, to speak, and to have good manners before we reach "the real world." More than even the professional teachers that we have in school, parents are generally the most involved in the development and education of children.

Almost for sure our parents are the best teachers at the beginning of our lives, which actually corresponds to the parents' role in nature. Parents are most committed and involved in teaching their children; they have a kind of instinct to sacrifice a part of themselves for the betterment of their children. They love us and have great patience while passing down their knowledge to us. They wish us a success and thus will not teach us bad things. And of course, implicit learning occurs when children unconsciously copy some of their parents' habits and styles of behavior.

During the second stage of child development, adolescence, parents can still be in the best position to offer advice even though the children might not accept it. In this case, perhaps the child's friends would be the best teachers. Adolescents are notoriously rebellious in many cultures and may automatically reject any advice from their parents. My first marriage for instance, was solely a matter of doing the opposite when my parents tried to intrude in offering their advice. So in such matters, parents should be much more flexible and be rather the partners with their children. So we can see that being a teacher of growing child become more and more complicated case as the time passes and many parents are simply not able to meet the increased demands.

On the other hand, I would say that parents are not professional teachers and they tend to be very biased by their love of their children. So wishing good things and an easy life may prevent children from maturation. In any case, parents usually can present only one viewpoint of the world, while good teaching should be based on different attitudes. Thus, when children go to school and have a great diversity of teachers, they learn much more than their parents could probably give them. Furthermore, once our parents get older, they become more conservative and cannot always be objective in regard to modern trends and fashions. Thus we need to take their advice with caution during that period. However, some kind of intuition which I believe shared between relatives about what everybody needs and great love which exists in a families still makes our parents very good teachers and advisers at any time

Ethics are presumably the most import part in a  individual's life. They define right from wrong and good from bad. Crime is often times attributed to the lack of morals that a person has. Lawbreakers are, as a rule, aftereffects of broken homes or families, where ethics where not legitimately taught by the parents. When this particular part of the foundation is missing, a person can become corrupt. The parents really need to focus in on teaching their children morals, because it will shape the character of the individual and help him to become a better person. These ethics will help control the child all through their lifetime. The crime rate would be considerably lower in the world if this crucial piece of the foundation is properly assembled.

Parents can also impact the religious convictions of the kidd. This is also another very important thing for a child to understand and learn. Religion may give the child someone or something to pray to when in a time of need. It also will give the child a sense of hope and faith. Without hope and faith, the child may find himself to be lost and confused, and religion will hopefully shed light on the right path and help to make better life decisions.
